HELP!!!
You’re stuck on a desert island, miles from anywhere.
One morning an old fashioned steamer trunk washes up on the shore.
Phew!!!
Inside are 5 items & amazingly they are just the 5 items you would choose to be in a trunk if it was bobbing by! Quelle coincidence! So, there’s a book, an iPod with 1 album on it, 1 flask of beverage, 1 meal and 1 luxury item.
So, tell us, what would your 5 items be?

Only 3 parachutes

(Of course, all 4 of them are up really super duper high in the air, and the parachute is truly the only way to save them. You are safe on the ground, so there is no need to give yourself a parachute.)

Where Were You?

Everyone remembers where they were on some momentous day (the Challenger disaster, 9-11, Lennon’s death, etc.). So the question is…Where were you on one of those days?

Over the weekend my husband reminded me how when we first met 11 years ago we spent the Friday after Thanksgiving playing late night bingo at the casino that’s in Milwaukee on the Indian reservation. When is the last time you played Bingo?

Nickname Nausea
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
I remember as a kid, we gave this kid the nickname “Beaver”. It wasn’t because he reminded us of the kid from the TV show or anything like that, it was just that he always patted people on the shoulder when he talked to them. It must have been a nervous habit. Regardless, the nickname stuck. He was “The Beav” all through high school.
What is the most appropriate nickname you have ever given that has stuck?

In the supermarket last Saturday I picked up a tub of Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food … nice but not as good as my all time favourite ~ Caramel Chew Chew. Caramel ice cream, delicious swirls of caramel & chocolate sauce and chunks of chocolatey caramel too. What more could a girl ask for?
Well actually, I’d quite like Caramel Chew Chew to have some chucks of pecan in there. I think it would just set of the chocolate and caramel and give a different texture to compliment the cold creamieness!
So, tell us, if you could choose your own ice-cream, what would be in it?
We’ll have to talk to Ben & Jerry’s about producing a Question of the Day special!!

I have just finished re-reading The Eight by Katherine Neville. It’s my favourite book and I don’t say that lightly. I have 2 copies … just in case I lose one and can’t get another … here and a copy in France too! Yes, that’s 3 all together ~ yes, you could use the word obsessed if you wish!
So what’s it about? Nuns, chess, good vs evil, revelution, death, Algeria, love & eternal life! Mireille & Catherine Velis’s quest for the Montglane Service, the legendary chess set of Charlemagne and the ancient powers contained within. The Eight is a book that I would highly recommend.
So, tell us, what book would you recommend to us all as a really good read?

Bad habits? … only a few!
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
Throughout my childhood I bit my nails, nibbled my cuticles, picking at the skin and scratching the nails. My hands always looked awful!! Over the years many people tried to cure me of the habit, they painted on that disgusting bitter polish, shouted, cut my nails … to no avail! And finally I just grew out of it. These days I occasionally nibble at a nail but only if I am over tired.
So, tell us, do you have any bad habits left over from your childhood?

This question was posed originally by Michele:
Do you visit each person that visits your blog? Do you comment back to visitors within your own comments? Do you ever e-mail replies? Do you check back on posts that you have commented on to see if you have received a reply? Do you ever take a blog entry idea from another’s blog and not give them credit?
