What’s More Disturbing
When I was at Goodwill on Sunday I noticed something very interesting for sale. There was a huge 40 oz. plastic pretzel jug (empty of pretzels) with a handful of wine corks inside of it. I laughed at it, and showed it to my husband, who also laughed at it. I planned on taking a picture of it, because it was something I had to share, but when I turned around a little old man had it under his arm.
I can’t decide what is more disturbing: That someone donated that to Goodwill? That someone actually priced it and put it out for sale? Or, that someone actually bought it?
What do you think?

I think I’m surprised it wasn’t on e-Bay. They probably would have gotten a lot more.

I shop at our local Goodwill all the time and nothing surprises me anymore.
I have found some pretty amazing things and some great bargains.
This is no worse than beauty products, hair dye kits, worn out bedroom slippers or used bras.
People will donate anything and people will buy anything.

one of my neighbors reuses those cork stops, instead of using mulch in his flower beds, it’s full of wine corks! seriously!! you don’t notice when you’re just walking by on the sidewalk, but if you’re up at his front door, you notice it’s wine corks. but now, most of our wine is using plastic in place of the cork, because it’s cheaper, but he won’t use plastic in his flower beds, because that’s just “not right”.
That does not disturb me. What disturbs me is when they sell used underwear….ewwwww!

Used undies?? Ewww… a plastic tub of corks sounds much more reasonable by comparison.
