10 months when he lived in australia and i was still back in canada. since i’ve moved here we’ve only been apart for maybe 3 or 4 nites. i think it does make the heart grow fonder….

Hubby is a retired Army officer.
He was in for 20 years, so being separated for up to a year at a time while he was overseas was not unusual.

We had two periods where I was away for 6 weeks at a time. I don’t know how he felt, but I was having too much fun to miss him.

Since I’ve been married to her…not long at all and I’m glad for it. A potential job opportunity for me arose at CNet which would have kept us away from each other for at least a month while I searched for a place for us to live. But the bittersweet results were a lost opportunity for employment.
So not long but I’m very happy about that.

I think probably six weeks is the longest we’ve been apart and that was back some 20 years ago when we were newlyweds so I’m sure I wasn’t happy about it then. Now, six weeks would be heaven.
