depends what you want to eat, but i’m taking you to the clarkson pump and patio for wings and a cold beverage while you decide what you want to eat.

We rarely go out for dinner but If you want something really nice for lunch, we’re going to one of the local places.
If we are in Five Points, it’ll be Mr. Friendly’s.
If we are in the Norheast then it’s The Village Bistro.

I think I am going to answer this on my blog. In Memphis, you have to try the bar-b-que. Our city is known for it and it is good. The Rendezvous. It has been visited by several presidents and celebrities. I have never been there myself but I hear it is very good.

The town I grew up in only had one small restaurant…the food was ok. I would take you to a neighboring town that I was in just as much as my hometown. There is an excellent place to eat there called the “Cozy Corner Cafe”. Awesome food!

Oh there are so many good places in San Francsico to go for dinner…depends on what kind of food you want. But if you want a recommendation for LUNCH, by all means go to Greens, which has a fabulous menu, is affordable, and has the best view of the Golden Gate Bridge in the city.

If you’d ever travel to Venezuela, I’d recommend Venus, especially the sandwiches..

hmmmm, so difficult since there’s so many … mekong (where former u.s. president bill clinton had two bowls of the traditional vietnamese noodle soup!), vue de monde, taxi, the palms, pearl … depends what you feel like :)

if you end up here, you have taken a serious wrong turn, but this being the south:
    Jim N’ Nicks for BBQ
    Johnny Ray’s for PIE
    Five Guys for Burgers
    Ocean for Seafood
The Paw Paw Patch for good ole Southern Cafeteria food.

Hmmm. In Milwaukee (my true hometown) I would probably send you to Kopp’s for a giant, delightfully greasy cheeseburger, crunchy homemade onion rings and a cherry custard milkshake. All eaten outdoors on concrete benches on a warm Wisconsin evening.

In Houston (my current hometown) I would send you to Baby Barnaby’s, a tiny breakfast only joint in an “interesting” part of town. You’d be drinking OJ that you actually watched being juiced and coffee (a whole pot on the table). You’d eat a waffle and scrambled eggs that are actually EGGS, not some sort of yellow stuff that comes out of a bottle.

What does it say about me that you could eat at both my suggestions for under ten bucks?

(Here from ICLW and loving this question!)

El Oso Chico. Gosh I miss their Sopapillas. I can’t believe that I grew up in a lily-white small-town and ate those all the time. Now I live in Guadalajara North and I can’t find them anywhere.
