Where do you turn to when making travel arrangements? Do you use a website such at Travelocity or Expedia? Or do you use a travel agent?
Where am I going? And how? The first page I look at is the Amtrak page.
Years ago (in the ’80s and early ’90s) we would use a travel agent. I don’t remember when we quit using one but we always buy our airline tickets directly from the airline, online. As well, we make our reservations for hotels and car rentals online. IF we were going to travel outside the U.S., or take a cruise, I would use a travel agent. I have not found that the websites such as Travelocity or Expedia are any less expensive and actually are quite annoying (to me) by all the hoops one must jump through to try and find a decent price.
We look at those two sites for comparisons, but then buy our flights directly from the airlines (Southwest whenever possible).
LOL. I can’t believe how many times MaryZ and I have the same answer. I haven’t used a travel agent in decades.
Bev, we WILL have to meet in person sometime.
The two of you are like long lost twins! LOL!
I think it was Travelocity.
Depends on where I’m traveling. I usually check them all- Expedia, Travelocity, Kayak, individual airline sites. Domestically, Expedia usually works out well, though.
I have used travelocity quite a bit in the past, but now I have been using BING travel…..then I go to the website with the best rate and schedule.
