Weekend Q&A

This is the Weekend Q&A game and this is how you play:

The person before you has asked asked you a question. You’ll answer their question in the comments as well as ask the next person a question. The next person answers their question, and asks another, etc….. You are encouraged to participate often!

I’ll start:

Do you enjoy ice skating?

  1. As a little girl who didn’t have ice skates, I always thought I would like to skate. (May I mention, my little sister had ice skates.)

Our university had lovely lakes for skating; the plows would clear the lakes as soon as they finished the roads and walkways. I borrowed a pair of skates and discovered that my ankles, despite all those years of walking, were not strong enough for skating. Just another disappointment, like cotton candy.

Question: Did you ever wish you had something and discover that it was disappointing after all?

  2. I’ve always found that when something is greatly wished for or anticipated, it rarely lives up to expectations (or wishes). So I try to be more pragmatic about those expectations.

I got a massage this morning – try to get one about every two weeks. Have you ever had a massage? Do you have one regularly scheduled?

  3. Probably not. We have seen NO movies this year. Not one. There are several coming out that I want to see, The Hobbit among them, but if I get to one it will be amazng.

Have you watched the coverage from Connecticut, or did you turn off the TV?

  4. I did not watch. Facebook informed me of more than I wanted to know. Plus, we have had 2 major shooting sprees in town since August. I can’t take any more.

I am taking my husband out for dinner tonight for his birthday. What would you order?

What's your answer?
