1. I must be the only person in the world who didn’t like the movie, “Fargo”, and am not particularly fond of the Coen Brothers movies in general. So I wouldn’t have watched the TV series – and actually never even heard of it until about a week ago.

  2. I had to watch the finale, which I recorded, before I could answer this question. I’d like to know what YOU thought of the show. There was an episode that I didn’t get at all, about 3 episodes back, and I read up on one of those sites that talks about the show and there was so much esoteric symbolism that I missed. I generally watch for plot. And now that it’s over, I have to say I liked it a lot, though I never did figure out who Malvo was and what his mission was. It just made for good TV. And I thought Tom Hanks’ son was very good in it. Malvo was evil incarnate, but Nygard was the worst of the lot.

  3. I enjoyed the show, but there were some episodes that I didn’t even think made any sense at all. I expected a lot more bang out of the finale, I didn’t think it lived up to some of the previous episodes. On Monday I heard an interview with the show runner who said that even though in the opening it says it’s a true story, it’s not, and that that the Coen brothers just gave their blessing, but didn’t have anything to do with the series. He did give some light on Lester’s character, but I still have no idea what Malvo’s back story was.

    1. Yes, I knew it was not a true story–says that in the movie too. I didn’t realize that the Coens had no hand in it. I just read that if there is a season 2 it will be with a different story and different characters. I think I kept watching until I was hooked because Billy Bob Thornton was so good.
