Side of the bed

I sleep on the left side of the bed (when looking at it), my husband sleeps on the right (and our giant dog sleeps in between us). When we were first married I slept on the other side of the bed, and I can’t quite remember how I ended up with the left side being mine.  All I know is that if I were to move to the other side of the bed, I probably wouldn’t be able to sleep. If we stay at a hotel and there are two beds, we sleep separately, there aren’t too many chances once you get married to actually have the entire bed to yourself.

Is there a side of the bed that you absolutely must sleep on?

It’s one of those things that, fortunately, I never obsessed about. I married a man who slept on the right side (as you view from the foot). Even when I was pregnant and the baby kept kicking him, he wouldn’t consider changing.

If I were sharing a bed again, I would have to choose the side nearer the bathroom!

When we share a bed, I sleep on the right side (looking at it from the foot – he’s on my right side). But we can, when circumstances warrant it, change sides. More often than not, we’re in separate beds nowadays.

I’m usually on the left, but when we travel, I’m on the side closest to the bathroom.

I started out sleeping on the left side because it ws the side closest to the door and I knew that sooner or later there would be a baby to tend to. On those rare occasions when we are in the same bed, I still sleep on the left, but usually I sleep on the couch because of my back.

I sleep on the right side….ummm…facing the bottom of the bed. The little french lady sleeps on the left top. When we are reading in bed we face the same direction.
    It works!!!!
    Madison sleeps wherever she wants.
