I was going to run a four mile race this morning, but it was too hot so I skipped it. The rest of the day was spent napping and watching TV. There’s not a whole lot to do when it’s 100 degrees out.
How did you spend your 4th of July?

Yes, it’s too hot to do much. I listened to both radio and TV, and I felt a great sadness for our country. So many people worked hard and gave their lives, so that today’s population can pound it all into the ground.
Spent the day at the beach at our son’s big annual BBQ. About 30 people came. No sun and got kind of chilly by the end of the day, but everyone had a great time. I came home and literally died. Fell asleep at 8 p.m. and slept until 6. Didn’t even write my journal entry for the day (which I am doing now)
Another wonderful day at the beach with family and friends. Gorgeous just-past-full moon and fireworks up and down the beach (not at our house).
Walked in the local parade, made food for the BBQ, watched True Blood, went to the waterpark, and went to a friend’s BBQ.
