Driving 5 hours home in the rain. If it isn’t raining tonight, we’ll go see more fireworks tonight. If it is, we’re hanging out at home.
Stay at home, keep an eye on the sick donkey, call friends and wish them a Happy 4th. Eat too much BBQ and wait for the kids to stop shooting off the fireworks so the dog won’t be terrified.
I actually think the 4th is the best holiday we have.
It’s secular, no pressure, no guilt, no shopping, no traffic, no gifts. Celebrations, festivals with lots of food, warm weather and fun.
I would rather have two 4th of Julys than one Christmas.
Headed to church this morning, then home for Baby Girl to take a nap (Hubby was asleep too – night shift). Rain tonight so just stayed in and had family time with pizza
