Alarms

On Saturdays I set my alarm to get up at 7am, but on Sunday I sleep in as long as I need to. On both days I’m usually awake by 6:30 though, that’s just the way it goes.

Do you set your alarm on the weekends?

I’m retired. I don’t even set my alarm on week days. But I still wake up early.

My “alarm” consists of a 17 lb Dachshund who usually has to go outside, once around 1 a.m. and again around 5 a.m. She stands on top of me. And waits.
It is very difficult to ignore and the setting rarely changes, even on weekends.
A real alarm clock or radio?
Haven’t had one in over 25 years.

No. My kid is my alarm on weekends.

  5. funny thing … i am horrible at math. always have been. numbers elude me. yet somehow i never ever have to set an actual alarm clock, because i have this inner one that works beautifully. all i have to do the evening before is tell myself the time i want to get up the next morning, and bingo [!] i am up at that time within 5 minutes. it doesn’t matter how often i change the time, it always works. call me an alarm clock savant.
anybody else ‘blessed’ with this innate feature?

  6. I cycle early on Saturdays and like to have a little extra time to myself before getting the family ready for church on Sundays so the alarm still comes in handy.
