Alarms

I’ll be the last person out of the school today which means I have to lock up and set all the alarms.  It makes me very nervous having to do it … I’m always positive I’ll cock it up!

Do you ever have to set / re-set alarms?

I used to at my last job, but not at this one. I was always more nervous about opening the place with the potential for them going off than I was setting them.

When I’m the last one here I do. It usually happens on a Friday when we don’t have a 2nd shift. Once my dad (I work with my family) left work around 6 p.m. and for some reason turned the alarms on. I was at home, and received a call from the security company because the motion detector alarms were going off in the building. MAJOR OOPS on Dad’s part. He wasn’t thinking when he turned the alarms on with 2nd shift in the building — they weren’t leaving until 2 a.m. It was hilarious, but a pain to clear up.

I once set off the alarms at work. I was the first to arrive and completely forgot about them until they went off. Then I didn’t know the code for the security company so they sent the police, it was crazy.

I’m not usually the first one in or last one out, but I do have to deal with the alarms a couple of times a month. So far I have not screwed it up :)

I was the one to open up and close up, so I dealt with alarms a lot. No problems, fortunately.
