(This is actually a page on my blog haha)
Books that I….
have read this year:
The Virgin Queen’s Daughter by Ella March Chase (What if Queen Elizabeth I actually wasn’t a virgin…what if she had a daughter no one knew about?)
Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer (Vampires that *sparkle*? Ahh…but it’s a great, easy, fun read not to mention Jacob is HOT in the movies!)
The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephanie Meyer (More sparkly vampires – but this novella is though the eyes of a small characher in Eclipse from 3 months after her vampire “birth” to her second death by the Volturi)
(I’m sure there are others but I’m at a loss for them right now!)
am currently reading:
The Bible (Unfortunately, I don’t read it as often as I probably should, but I do try to read it regularly)
Murder Most Royal by Jean Plaidy (Two cousins – Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard – marry the same king, and come to the same fate)
Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer (Understanding how the devil uses your mind -negative thoughts, anger, doubts, depression- to try to control you and how to let God help you win the battle raging in your mind.)
want to read:
Percy Jackson and the Olympians (series) by Rick Riordan
Harry Potter Series by J K Rowling (Yes…I’ve read them already…numerous times. But I have a tradition of reading the entire series again right before another movie or book comes out. Since part 1 of the Deathly Hallows is coming out in November, I need to get to reading them again from the beginning!)
Train Less, Run Faster! by Runner’s World (I can train less, run faster, and be healthier?? Sign me up!!)
The Secret Diary of Anne Boleyn by Robin Maxwell – (As quoted by Claire from The Anne Boleyn Files, “I love the storyline of this one as we all wish that Anne had left something for Elizabeth to learn about her story.”)
Hear our Cry: Boys in Crisis by Paul D. Slocumb, Ed.D. (Helping to reach boys and young men in todays society)

I’m just finishing up “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and am mid-way through Diana Gabaldon’s “Drums of Autumn,” and a book by Robert Hofler called “Party Animals,” about Hollywood Producer and party-giver Alan Carr.
Coming up are “The Kill Artist” by Daniel Silva and the next two books by Stieg Larsson.
I’m into end of the world type books lately so after reading On the Beach and Alas Babylon, next on my list are Lucifer’s Hammer, Into the Forest, Earth Abides and a few more along the same vane. (providing they’re are no zombies or vampires in them. not my thing)
Just gasve up on “Espresso Shot” by CLeo Coyle. It got too convoluted to read at 2 a.m. by flashlight. I lost interest.
Started “A SLice of Murder” by Chris Cavrnder. It’s okay but I have a hard time with a man writing in first person as a woman protagonist. He does a pretty good job but I find the “female” dialogue doesn’t always ring true.
(He writes under two other female psuedomyns.) I think it’s because of the genre. Most people want a cozy author to be a woman.
And I just bought “Closet Confidential” because I love the wiggly, mischevious Dachshunds Truffle and Sweet Marie.
From the Goodwill store for $1.00, “Hare Today, Dead Tomorrow” by Cynthia Baxter and “Photo Finished” by Laura Childs.
A rare, rare thing, but I’m not reading anything. I’ve gotten into Nip/Tuck on Netflix, and have been wasting my time with it.
