Today you get to be a thief, which I know you aren’t in real life ….. right? You are planning the heist of all heists, what are you stealing?
A nice little unpretentious car.
The Hope Diamond. It’s the family jewel (Walt’s grandmother worked for the people who owned it and his then 5 year old uncle carried it in his suitcase to Florida on the train because they figured no thief would ever think to check the maid’s son’s luggage), and I figure it’s time to bring it back to the family.
Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring.
An Austin Healy Sprite with bug eyes. I would drive it all of the nice back roads. I should grab a scarf and goggles, perhaps a beret., a baguette, a couple of icy Molsons’, borrow someones Golden retriever, put a bandana around his neck and put some sunglasses on him. I would stop at all the little road side stands that sell fruits ad veggies while people admire my stolen car. It sounds like a wonderful day.
