For me, it would have to be National Lampoon’s “Vacation”.
It was made in 1983 but it is still very funny.
Hubby would say “Young Frankenstein”.
He thinks it is ageless, timeless and transcends all comedies ever made.

Maybe Jurassic Park? I would agree with NL: Christmas Vacation (have yet to watch this season) and NL: Vacation.

I watched “White Christmas” yesterday and think that holds up. Lots of old movies do, I think. And there are some remakes that are terrible, terrible mistakes.

Okay – I am going to also have to agree with whomever brought up “Christmas Vacation.” That is timeless!
And so is “The Goonies.” The clothes may be out of style, but the cliques are still relevant, and (not to be too much of a downer), the threat of foreclosure isn’t going anywhere. Kids are kids – they will always get into trouble, and I think that any child who watches it either today, or in 5 years from now, will love it!

Dr. No
“The Shawshank Redemption” holds up really well.
As far as the National Lampoon movies: The only good ones were “Animal House ” and “Vacation”. There were some classic moments in both movies.
