Nothing at all. I never liked jangly bracelets, and I wore a watch with a snug band…until I was instructed not to put anything tight on the arm where lymph nodes had been removed.
I used to wear a watch all the time until my son told me he had given up wearing one and never missed it. I tried it and discovered I kind of like not being a slave to a watch.
I quit wearing a wrist watch years ago – even before I had a cell phone. There were always clocks around. I finally got John to quit wearing one, too. It’s a much better thing!
The only time I wear anything on my wrist is when I’m dressing up for a special occasion and *might* have a bracelet or watch that will enhance my ensemble.

Do we need watches if we have cell phones?

A watch. I always get bracelets because they’re pretty and wear them a total of 10 minutes before I’m completely annoyed and take them off.
I do the same thing. Although in the summer I’m more likely to not be so annoyed by bracelets. I don’t know why.
