Not a big cake eater. I used to make great brownies, more cake-like than chewy.
Nowadays, if someone wants to give me a cake, it’s an ice cream cake.
Not too much into sweets these days but I think my favorite cake would be a made-from-scratch pound cake. It’s great all on its own, as well as being the base for fruit shortcake, a trifle, etc.
I love cake, and have favorites for different occasions. For my birthday, I would prefer a lemon cake with chocolate frosting.
Yellow cake, not lemon cake! Oy!
Gingerbread, and I really like fruitcake.
I love to design cake flavors and not simply. The best was a chocolate fudge cake with caramel sauce and pecan between the layers and homemade fudgy frosting. Turtle Cake is what I called it. YUM!
