The Blog of the Day is: In the Mind of a Thirtysomething Mom
Please take a moment to visit Tina and leave a comment! Turn up your speakers for the visit, the music is very jazzy! But first answer this question provided by her ….
What would you do first if you were given $1000 and the day off of work?

I’d close out my credit card account, since $1,000 would just about cover the existing expenses.
(I know–that was a terribly boring and sensible answer and what fun is that?)
i have a small credit card balance I would pay off (thanks Bev).
And then with the remaining $$$ I would buy $100 worth of lottery scratch-offs and a $50 gas card.
Then I take my hubsand out to lunch someplace nice and probably give him $100 if I’m feeling particularly benevolent so he can buy something for nice himself.
What little bit would be left,I would just put in my checking account.
Well, I don’t work (outside of the home anyway) so that wouldn’t be a big deal. As for the money, I use it to buy Christmas presents for the family, and the rest would go toward our bills.
I would give $ 100. to the 3 people I know need it the most. Take my special Kitty out to lunch somewhere nice and go buy the new phon I want (voyager)
Id leave work to go take a nap, go to the mall, and take my boyfriend to dinner with what’s left…(that shows there wont be much left)
Get work done on my car.
Hi Tina **waves** I can say I knew you when.
IF I had the day off and $1000….I would call my church (yeah, the one I haven’t been to in like 5 years) and ask for the name of a needy family and then I would donate $200 to them. I would do this first because this gift was given to me back in my single parent days at Christmas time and it was a HUGE help. With the rest, I would make my husband go shopping with me for the dress I need for my sister’s wedding and some clothes for him because he looks H.O.T. dressed up and then a nice dinner. Anything left I would use to buy unexpected Christmas presents for extended family.
Easy. Tithe first. Then go buy a black leather Coach Carly! That would take care of about $500…. dinner for Mr. Sasha and I at the Melting Pot and a babysitter would take care of $200 or so…. then maybe a few pair of designer jeans. Fun!
I would go shopping of course! I always need new shoes and a purse or two
