Never on purpose
I can’t imagine what I would want that badly. I hate to cry. It makes for an awful headache.

Very definitely. I have the ability to cry easily. I would, and have, used it. Most notably when we were chaperoning a youth choir in New Orleans and I caught some of them drinking. They were legal in Louisiana, but the choir had been expressly warned that if they were caught drinking they would be sent home (and that would end the choir’s chances of competing in a competition they ultimately won).
I made the decision NOT to tell the director, but had a meeting with all the kids during which I cried because of the awkward position they had put me in. It was all for show, of course, but those guys were on their absolute best behavior for the rest of the trip and very solicitous of me.
