I really enjoy reading the Stephanie Plum book series. What book series have you enjoyed reading the most?
Lots over the years: James Bond; Travis McGee; Harry Potter; Tony Hillerman; The alphabet series ( “A is for Alibi” – can’t think of the author or protagonist right now).
Forgot Dana Stabenow’s two series.
Mary, that’s Sue Grafton. She “petered out” around P; I didn’t like any of the later ones.
You’ve heard all about these: Kathy Reichs’ Temperance Brennan series; Laurie King’s Sherlock Holmes and Mary Richards series; Tess Gerritsen’s Rizzoli and Isles.
And those are just the current ones.
I’ve loved all of Michael Connelly’s Harry Bosh Books (just finished his latest) and I am wallowing in Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series, but I have a whole host of authors who write “series” books and I love ‘em all (starting back with Nancy Drew!)
The most? Hobbit/Lord of the Rings
Others I love: Harry Potter, Stephanie Plum, and Eragon.
I am partial to Stuart Woods and John Sandford. That is probably 50 books. They each write two or three books per year.
Actually Stuart Woods has written 50 books and I have read 47. John Sandford wrote about 34 books and I have read 30 of them. I have read all of Ian Fleming’s James Bond books. That was in the early 60′s.
I have tried Tony Hillerman, Michael Connelly, Edna Buchanan, and a few others but I like Woods and Sandford best.
