Not sure that it’s technically a castle, but we’ve toured the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, and The Mystery Castle in Phoenix, AZ. I doubt we’ll ever make it to the U.K., or Europe.
I’ve toured some luxurious homes, but no castles I remember. I would say that visiting the Tower of London doesn’t count.
We’ve not been to a Disney castle, but we’ve been to several others – Prague Castle is the only one I can think of right now.
We’ve been to lots of castles on various trips. The last one was Prague castle (didn’t see Mary there, though). I recently read about how much it costs to tour Buckingham and my feeling was “ho hum, another castle”!! (We have toured Windsor Castle, though.) And then there are those castle ruins, which are even more interesting.
Yes, mostly in Germany and Italy. And we’re planning on seeing Versailles later this month. Although technically, I think that’s a chateau. Close enough for this red-blooded American.
