How often do you clean out your wallet or purse? Are there lots of receipts and other bits and pieces that could do with throwing out? If you checked right now, what’s the oldest receipt you’d find in there?

I have checked and there is a receipt from before Christmas
I don’t have any receipts because my wife wants them in a special envelope so she can check against out credit card company on-line. I do have a two week fishing license from Alaska that I used last June. Why…I don’t know.
As I said on Rodney’ s blog usually I only store bank teller receipts in it which sometimes stay there for a long time. Most of my paperwork ends up in the glovebox of my car and get’s cleaned out when the door won’t close properly
I clean it out when I can’t fit anymore receipts in it. Usually it is so jammed that I can’t even close it properly. As for oldest receipt right now…I think I have a receipt from my dad’s birthday gift from November in there. I like to hold onto them for awhile in case there is something wrong with the gift-then I can produce the receipt right away.
I clean my purse out almost every day. Otherwise, it would be all receipts and no room for the things I really need in there. The oldest recepit I have is from yesterday!
I cleaned my purse out recently, so I probably have a receipt from yesterday in there right now. But I sometimes carry a few months of receipts around with me before I clean them out.
My purse is always clean. I don’t like to carry lots of stuff, so if anything extra is in there I deal with it right away. The oldest receipt I have would be from the day before. I do online banking everyday. I’m a fussy gal.
First of all, don’t be jealous of Rodney. Australia is going through a terrible drought and in some parts of the country horrible wildfires as a result.
As for cleaning out my purse–almost never. I have one of thse huge ergonomic purses that could double as an overnight bag and it is such a mess I’m afraid to even touch it!
my purse is clean. i actually file all my receipts once a week, i keep everything except grocery receipts. the oldest receipt i have in right now is for an item to return from christmas, which i should have done last week but haven’t as yet. i think it’s dated early december.
I clean my wallet out as needed, but my purse I try to keep pretty tidy. On Monday’s I take all the receipts from the weekend (which usually include the Thursday and Friday previous) and enter them into the checkbook, cross my fingers, and hope for the best.
The oldest receipt I have is from 12/19/06, from Christmas, and there is zero reason why it’s still in there, which is why it’s going through the shredder shortly.
