I guess about my knitting or my cooking. And I try to accept compliments gracefully with a simple Thank You, or glad you like it.

Seldom about anything I do. No one talks about my eyes any more. They don’t compliment me about my kids, because the kids are grown up.

But I still get compliments about my cranberry chutney.

Probably most often for my theater reviews (though I got a scathing — and warranted — complaint yesterday). I try to be gracious, but compliments embarrass me because I never feel I deserve them.

My stand-up training ability, when I wear red, photos I take, sweaters I’v eknit, and my kid’s behavior, although that one doesn’t seem much like a compliment for me as it is for him.

It depends on what I get it for, whether I’m able to accept it. Usually, I’m okay with accepting compliments.
