Last year I bought beaucoup boxes of Thin Mints, the new low-fat lemon ones and a box of Carmel Delights (aka Samoas). No one hit me up this year to buy any. :( Probably better that way! :D

I’ve been buying Girl Scout cookies for so long that when I began, there was only one flavor (Shortbread). I was a Girl Scout in grammar school, in the 1940s.

  3. Angi says:

I don’t think we got in on any for this year. Last year I’m sure we did – thin mints and samoas and my husband likes those peanut butter ones (both kinds of them)

  4. Natalie says:

I usually buy every year, but I missed this year. My absolute favorite is the Samoas. Nothing beats a cookie with chocolate, caramel, AND coconut!

My mouth is watering for Thin Mints as I type this. I haven’t had a Girl Scout come to my door for over 3 years!!!! I’m dying for a thin mint, just one, or five, heck I’ll take the entire sleeve……

  6. Bill says:

It sounds like nobody is buying Girl Scout Cookies this year. The last time I bought some was a few years ago and of course they were Thin Mints. I wanted to buy some this year but my wife said no. She was trying to keep me from getting fatter and having a heart attack. I guess I can’t fault that logic.

i don’t think i’ve ever bought them but when i worked at a boys and girls club camp in wisconsin one summer a few of us were asked if we would like to do a girl scout camp up north for a week. we got LOTS of girl scout cookies while we were there and we were given a couple dozen boxes to take back to our other camp when we went back!! mmmmm……thin mints. sooooooo good!!

  8. laquet says:

They don’t sell Girl Guide cookies in the UK :(

  9. Last year. Thin Mints and Samoas. I never saw any Girl Scouts this year. They must have been avoiding me.

  10. princess says:

Never! We dont really get girl guides selling cookies here.

  11. i bought some sunday night, haven’t had a girl guide at my door for a few years. both of my daughters were in guiding and i was a leader and also cookie mom a couple of times and handled the “dough” money.
we don’t have those interesting flavours here, in the fall we have a chocolate mint cookie and in the spring we have a sandwich cookie, one row of chocolate, one row of vanilla, in th4 same box. i would never turn down a request to buy cookies from girl guides at my door.

There are always a few order forms in the faculty rooms during Cookie Season. This year I go tthe Sugar Free Little Brownies but I don’t like them… and I got a box of the shortbreads. A cuppa with a shortbread is a goooooood thing.

I buy girl scout cookies once a year. My favorites are the Thin Mints (minty chocolate coated cake), peanut butter (the ones that are a shortbread cookie with a scoop of peanut butter and then dipped in chocolate), and the caramel delites (the chocolate, caramel, and coconut ones). Can you tell I like chocolate?

  14. Brenda says:

It’s been a few years. I normally get the caramal coconut ones and peanut butter ones.

  15. My brother-in-law sends us thin mints once a year. Several of his co-workers have daughters that sell the cookies.

  16. Neerja says:

Every year I buy them. How can you escape, they are neighbourhood kids…

Coconut ones and something called Smores Cookies. I am so glad I have a hubby and a son who would eat ANYTHING….

  17. I purchased three boxes a few weeks ago. Two peanut butter and one cinnamon swirl. My son ate them all.
