It’s not so much the dark, the boogie man under my bed scares me and the guy standing in my closet with a meat clever.

That’s OK, Jon–my snake will kill your boogie man.

No, I don’t think I’m afraid of the dark…only afraid of bumping into something or tripping over something I can’t see.

If I’m somewhere familiar, I like the dark. If it’s someplace new, I get spooked so easily, it’s ridiculous.

The dark can be scary if you are in an unfamiliar place.
    Otherwise, it is fine.
There are plenty of things that go bump in the night around here and I have never been really afraid.’
Especially since I have my friend, Mr. Glock right close by most of the time.

I can honestly say I have never been afraid of the dark.
I guess because when I was a little girl my father would take me camping and we slept outside. We didn’t use a tent.
My dad said unless it was raining we didn’t need one. We needed to experience the real outdoors like our ancestors.
He was a bit of a tree hugger.
