Delivered

It’s Saturday.  I’m waiting for the delivery man from Argos to come with my mother’s new radiators.  I’m bored … I have a list of things I’d like to do including soaking in the bath, going to Hempstead Valley to buy an outfit for the work’s party, getting stuck into The Fire … possibly even whilst lying in the bath BUT I know that as soon as do any of those things – the doorbell will go and I will miss the delivery.  And the delivery window??  Any where between 7am and 3pm!!

So, tell us what would you like to be doing today that you can’t do?

**UPDATE** The delivery didn’t come!  Cross doesn’t even begin to cover it.  They’re lucky they’re not answering the phone.  **UPDATE OVER**

    How frustrating!
I’ve become a Difficult Woman over things like delivery windows. It’s the first thing I ask about when contemplating ordering something. If I don’t like what I hear, they don’t get the order.
All fine and good – but it has led to several episodes of cutting off my nose to spite my face.
It’s very difficult to remain Mrs Stroppy Cow when the company is the only one offering what you need.

As to what I would like to be doing today?
I’d like to be spending it with my husband – if the silly bugger wasn’t on the other side of the world.

  2. i’m waiting on furniture today as well, i was to have been delivered yesterday but they didn’t have room on the truck and they called me thursday night to tell me. my window today is 9am to 5pm, which i’m not happy about. i should be taking my kids out today to do their christmas shopping.

Oh I hate sitting around waiting all day for a delivery or service. Today is my day off, and I can’t think of a single that I’m not going to do today that I’d like to (within reason of course). I’m going to workout, then to shopping for my husband’s birthday present, and maybe something for myself, and then to the bead store so I can start making Christmas gifts. I’ll probably take my daughter out to lunch too, and then tonight I’m going to veg out.

I think the day is going to go pretty much as planned, feeding the new puppies, going to watch my skinny husband be Santa for Petco, having his photo taken with people’s pets, and going to see a very funny production of “Cinderella” tonight.

I’d love to be relaxing and enjoying my weekend. Instead I’ll be frantically trying to finish a project before a final presentation on Monday.

I want to go to church today. But I have a nasty cold that just won’t go away. Can’t take the chance of infecting all my friends.
