Downton Abbey

I’ve gotten hooked on Downton Abbey this week on Hulu Plus, I’m only on the first season, but I’m almost done with it. This is the first time I’ve watched a series (other than This Old House) on PBS and I’m rather impressed. What did you think of Downton Abbey (without spoiling me, of course)?

    I tried. I was annoyed at the disrepect showed to the valet in the early episodes. (I’ve read enough about the society to know, but I thought it stank.)

    I tried again — right in the middle of the Nazi assemblies, and the people who thought they were chic. And I am out of there. No thank you.

    It’s on the list to get to after some other stuff. I only hear good things, though.

    I’ve only seen snippets here and there as I was surfing channels; not enough to make an evaluation yet. We’ve got other programs lined up ahead of it.
