Do you and your significant other endorse the same Presidential candidate? Do you think sharing similar politics is important in a relationship?
Yes and Yes. I think it’s fine to have differences of opinion on minor things, but it makes things pretty tough if you disagree on the major things. From experience I know that even tho you think it won’t matter it really does when you come face to face with it.

Actually, I don’t believe we do. But I haven’t asked him for his pick, lately. We don’t talk political choices all that much, but rather what areas are important to us.
I don’t think similar politics are that important – depending on the strength of your beliefs and if you can respect different opinions.
It varies for each couple, though, I’m sure.

we’ve never got to vote in the same election because we’re both citizens of different countries.
if i had been able to vote in the last australian election i would have voted for the same candidate he did
having similar political views is kind of important in our relationship because we do have really strong views on certain political issues (i don’t think we’d get along so well if we had opposit views)

Nope… he’s all for Hillary and I just can’t warm up to either of them. Similar political views are important in our case because our views on appropriate computer technology are diametrically opposed.

I don’t think that we do. Honestly we don’t discuss politics or religion too much…less arguments that way.

This time around, I’m not sure. We are both for the Democratic candidate, but I’m not sure which of the two he is supporting. He is very private about his feelings on things like this.

Yes we do, and yes I feel it important.
I am not a huge political person so it would be okay with me if my SO had differing views from me.

We are from opposing parties and this makes for interesting conversation! We never get mad at each other over this. And this year, he is voting my way.

I think it’s important to be interested and active in politics in general and have had relationships with opposing sides. It makes for some good discussion.
