Have you heard of The Grand Canyon Skywalk that will be opening on March 28th, 2007? It’s 4000 ft. above the floor of the canyon (the tallest building in the world is Taipei 101, in Taiwan, at 1670 ft.). The skywalk will extend 70 feet beyond the edge of the cliff, and will have a glass bottom. You have to see the photos on the website to appreciate it. My question is this, do you have any desire to stand out on the skywalk?

i would be quite scared but i would do it.
kinda sad that they’re putting a man-made structure sticking out of such an amazing natural place
i’ve never heard of it, i agree with shawna, i don’t think it should be done because it spoils such a natural setting.
i don’t think i’d be able to go on it.
It would be quite scary but also quite amazing. Sights you couldn’t see otherwise. Getting people to see more makes them appreciate and care about it but it also ruins the beauty of what you were looking at to begin with. Sad that we have to have tangible things to care about them.
Absolutely NOT! I’m petrified of heights! I’m with you guys on ruining a BEAUTIFUL natural place! It’s these places on the earth that help us keep our sense of wonder…
This whole idea is extreme idiocy. Why would any sane individual do this? I will not be out there. This is actually about 4 hours from here but will not be on the list of things to do.
I think I’d try it, just for the “been there, done that” factor, but I’d be one of those leaning over the railing, barfing, most likely
It actually makes me a little queasy just thinking about it….
absolutely not!! afraid of heights.
What?! A skywalk?! How tacky! Where are the Sheesh Police?! No, I have no desire to walk on something like that since it mars the scenery and would freak me out. I don’t even do well on the “bucket on a string” gondolas at the amusement part.
There is NO WAY that I’m going out on that walkway. When I close my eyes I see it tipping over and falling to the bottom of the canyon.
I can’t wait to go.
If the Native Americans are OK with it, I’m OK with it. It has to be better than Helicopters, Planes, Jeeps, etc.
No, not a one. Not going there!
Oh, hellya! It’s now on my list of things to do before I die!!!
