The General Store is open to seven. I guess we could drive to Winsted Connecticut , a half hour away, and g0 to the theater were they serve dinner.

A favourite local bar/restaurant. downstairs You can have a drink or two at the bar, play a game of pool and listen to your favourite songs on the jukebox. Then head on upstairs for a delicious seafood dinner while overlooking the beach.

MY hometown? Uh…we’ll go to the Chinese buffet and then head over to the Wal-Mart Supercenter. Woohoo!! (Of course, Nashville is an hour away…we can always go there…)

  4. Allison says:

Hmmm… a nice dinner at the local micro-brewery and midnight snowshoe trek? (Ok, not really midnight but moonlit, starry night trek)

There’s a a wander down to the marina and around the historic dockyard (a world heritage site), stopping off at the Pump and Pilot for a pint (of whatever) then on to the fantastic Indian restaurant around the corner that does amazing food from the Punjab. Or there’s always London just 35 minutes away by train in one direction and France 1 hour away in the other direction. The possibilities are endless!

If you were cursed with my company, probably just at some dingy bar playing pool and drinking. Yeah, I live in one of the biggest cities in the world. Not a shred of sarcasm.

If you were to come to my hometown, we would take you to the Mayberry Cafe. You could read some great quotes on the booth placquards, like this one from Otis:
“Andy, I’m sober now but I reckon I’ll get over it soon.”

We would also take you to see the canal walk downtown Indy, complete with a gondola ride.

If you like artist colonies, we would head down to “Little Nashville”, Nashville, IN., about an hour away. There are some great photo ops down that way, like the Bean Blossom covered bridge (imagine that, a town called Bean Blossom).

i have no idea what there is to do in my original hometown (other than wondering the harbour on a summers nite to see all the buskers).
in my new hometown there’s great restarants – lots of vegetarian ones 8) and some good smoke free pubs to go see local bands at.

I’m in Milwaukee, and I’d send you to Alterra Coffee down on Lake Michigan. They have great coffee, treats, and it’s a nice place to enjoy a book or read the newspaper.

  11. Princess says:

My home town is beautiful. I would take you out for dinner on the foreshore, anywhere you like! Then go have ice cream and take a walk. Then have a coffee someplace along the foreshore. You will love it!

  12. Well, since its my question, I guess I should answer, huh? I live in St. George, Utah and for a great night out we would go up to Skyline Drive and look over the entire city and then we’d drive down to Main and Tabernacle and grab some ice cream at the Blue Bunny and then catch a choir at the old St. George Tabernacle.

  13. Brenda says:

Same as Indigo, I’m also in Milwaukee. (technically a southern area, but close enough). I honestly have no clue where I would send you for a night out….as I’m usually in bed by 9 or 10pm and haven’t had a night out in years. LOL But I can tell you what you can do during the day!! The museum is great, the domes, Jelly Belly factory, a tour of Miller brewery and Sprecher.
To do more family orientated stuff…there are parks, beaches, Betty Brynn Children’s museum, the zoo.
    So many choices!

  14. A play and then dinner …

Or dinner and then some Celtic tunes at a pub
