Frankly Scarlett, I don’t give a damn

I watched the Oscars, shocker! I saw 25 of the movies that were nominated in all of the categories, I loved Argo and fell asleep for Lincoln. I screamed when Jennifer Lawrence won for best actress, I really REALLY wanted her to win. I’m so glad she did.

If you could have nominated any movie (ANY MOVIE AT ALL) for Best Picture from the last year, what would it have been?

I didn’t see any of them; I barely recognized most of the participants. If I were more of a fan, I might be saddened that the whole movie world has passed me by.

You didn’t one single movie at all last year?? I mean, like any movie at all?? Hallmark special, movie rented from the library, etc… Absolutely any movie.

I don’t get Hallmark Channel. I don’t get TCM either.

I just checked my web page: in July we had some cable freebies, and I saw “The Mirror Has Two Faces.” Not relevant. And that was the last movie I watched.

You get out of the habit after you’ve missed a few.

The movies we saw from this last year and released in 2012- Skyfall, Lincoln, Lawless, Dark Shadows.

Of the ones we saw, I would have nominated Skyfall for best picture. Lincoln was done very well but the viewer would have to truly be a history and politics buff. (My hubby loved it.) Though I fell asleep during part of it, it was still interesting and the actors were amazing.

We saw some movies on DVD last year, but I don’t remember which ones – so I guess none would be considered for nominations.

Skyfall. I’d love to say I was a Bond girl.
