I never flew enough to find favorites. Some that I liked no longer offer the same services.
Possibly the worst airport experience we encountered was Fort Lauderdale. Didn’t know their a– from a hole in the ground.
Don’t have a favorite airport. Have had worst experience in Charles deGaulle in Paris .
What are your weekend plans?
I probably fly Southwest more than any other airline, though our frequent flyer miles are with United. Best airport I was ever in was Singapore. And I also hate deGaulle in Paris, though the Moscow airport was probably the absolute worst experience. Ever.
(Sorry if this sounds like ‘place dropping’!)
Domestically, I prefer the airline whose hub I’m going into. They get runway preference, so your chances of delays are diminished. Unless it’s American right now. Then just avoid it period.
As far as domestic airports go, I absolutely HATE LAX and avoid it at all costs – peeling paint, the PAs don’t work, the food really sucks, and it’s never on-time. For good ones, I like Minneapolis, Baltimore, and Denver. Although Denver is never on-time, the food is good. Internationally, I hate Brasilia – it’s a total pit. But Munich has a pretty fun one. As does Cape Town.
