I am not a huge fan of gingerbread houses. I can never get them to stand up straight, stick together, and basically find them to be a PITA. I mean, they aren’t even edible.

I’ve never made one. I’d hate to have anything with ginger in it that I couldn’t eat.
I am not a fan of pretty but inedible things make out of food. If I make cookies, they’re drop cookies or bar cookies, not decorated ones that have no taste.
Furthermore, making *good* gingerbread is not a cut-and-dried deal.
I don’t. I have in the years when I was cake decorating. It was great fun and a couple of years was a family event (I hope that link works)
I have never made one. I do remember having one or two when I was a kid but I’m not sure if my mother made them or if they were given to us as a gift. I like ginger in some foods but not a fan of eating gingerbread houses. Indigo, they were edible in my growing up years. What is in them now that they are not?
We have made them the past few years from the ready-to-build kits. I’m hoping to get out of doing it this year. As a kid, my mom always made them from scratch. Waaaay too much work!
