My houseplants have seen better days. I used to have a large ficus tree in my family room, I’d had it for over 14 years. And then, my dog decided it would be a good snack. Therefore all of my plants are small and on on shelves now.
How are your house plants doing?

I have no houseplants. I have a brown thumb.
I also have rotten luck with houseplants; if they don’t die from poor care, they catch a mold and perish slowly.
The last time I tried to keep a plant, Cat ate it. I replaced it and put the new one up high. He got that one too. All I have left is the pot.
I have one house plant that I purchased at the dollar store, a grow-your-own lettuce from seed kit. I originally had two of them but the first one died because I forgot to water it for several days and there was no bringing it back. Now the second one is dying a slow death. It looks *nothing* like the picture on the cardboard wrapper it came in. I only have it because the pot – rectangular in shape – fits on the window sill. It would have been nice if I had inherited my mother’s green thumb.
I have one. It survives on benign neglect – a 20- year old “peace” plant. I’m always surprised that it’s still alive when we get home from a trip.
We have loads. And they’re doing fabulously. We call one Audrey II, she’s so big. We have loads of windows, and my husband feeds them fish tank water.
