The Twilight Series, because YOU got me into it and it’s nice to know there are others out there as nutty as we are. .-= Bev´s last blog ..Long Day’s Journey into Night =-.
I DID have a book club, but disbanded it when everyone ELSE in the club decided it wasn’t really necessary to read the book when there’s wine at the meetings! So we started a wine club. Kidding. No wine club.
I now belong to the book club at the library and it is very democratic – the way I ran mine. Every month is a different theme or genre (non-fiction, sci-fi Christmas). This month we’re reading The Historian. I read it a few years ago…If it was up to me, we’d be reading, “Are you there vodka? It’s me, Chelsea” b/c it’s been on my beside table for two months and NEEDS to be read. .-= CityGirl´s last blog ..More Unhelpful Idioms =-.
Bev: You have to give us an update on the book, where are you? Do you like Jacob or Edward?
CityGirl: I was in a book club for the longest time, but I quit when they started picking awful books over and over again. I have been in a wine club for 4 years now and just became the new president. Bring on the cabernet sauvignon!
City of Thieves. It was the most thought-provoking book I’d read in a long time, and I found the character development amazing. It was a book that stuck with me long after I’d finished, and so I’d love to talk about it with people.
Indigo. I just finished book 2. Obviously Jacob is the “good” character, but I am drawn to Edward. I always liked the cold, aloof types, so I understand Bella being besotted by him. .-= Bev´s last blog ..Long Day’s Journey into Night =-.
My book group is reading God: A Biography. The other book group I’m in is about to set up the new reading calendar. But I’m going to recommend: The Art Of Racing In The Rain. .-= Kwizgiver´s last blog ..thursday bug =-.
