It was the most thought-provoking book I'd read in a long time, and I found the character development amazing. It was a book that stuck with me long after I'd finished, and so I'd love to talk about it with people.

City of Thieves. CityGirl: I was in a book club for the longest time, but I quit when they started picking awful books over and over again. I have been in a wine club for 4 years now and just became the new president. Bring on the cabernet sauvignon!

Bev: You have to give us an update on the book, where are you? So we started a wine club. Kidding. No wine club.
I now belong to the book club at the library and it is very democratic - the way I ran mine. Every month is a different theme or genre (non-fiction, sci-fi Christmas). This month we're reading The Historian. I read it a few years ago...If it was up to me, we'd be reading, "Are you there vodka? It's me, Chelsea" b/c it's been on my beside table for two months and NEEDS to be read.
