Now. I have no control over it. I’d probably waste away without the internet.
I will loan you Wilson. He will keep you busy. He is very demanding. He is also very amusing. He will lie on your keyboard, he will knock your books on the floor. He will wake you every morning with a head butt. He will push his ceramic food dish on a ceramic floor until you feed him. BBBBRRRRRIIINNNNGGGG!
Loneliness will be gone. You will start mumbling to yourself about “that damn cat” . Be prepared.
Dear heaven! Not another cat!
The day before I picked up Wilson at the pet shop. I haven’t been lonely since.
going through a traumatic loss that nobody was aware of but myself and that I couldn’t talk with anyone about.
Right after I had my son. I was ridiculously sick with an infection and trying to figure out the new mom/breast feeding/sleep deprivation thing, my husband was working until 8 pm each night, I didn’t have a strong support network of friends, and my family was hours away and involved in their own lives. What should have been a delightful time filled with memories just makes me want to sob even today when I think of it.
I guess I’m lucky – I don’t think I’ve ever had that kind of experience.
