Limerick

A limerick is a poem with five lines.

Some write it while drunk on fine wine.

They rhyme and are witty

Are comical and a ditty

Please join us and write just one line.

I’ll begin with the first line, and each person can add one more line. To refresh your memory from your high school poetry course, lines 1, 2, and 5 all rhyme with each other, as do lines 3 and 4. Have some fun! Here’s the first line:

There once was a girl from New York City.
