Maize and Blue

What was the mascot of your high school?

I attended Minidoka County High School in Rupert, Idaho, and our mascot was a Spartan. I am so glad we weren’t the Trojans.

  1. Bluejays. And we frequently played the Trojans in our area.

The very un-politically correct, now required by the state of Wisconsin to be changed by the 2009-2010 school year, Lincoln High School Red Raiders. And we had a pow-wow at halftime.

Our colors were green and gold and I don’t remember that we had a mascot. But we were the Torrians.

We were just down the road from the Spartans – OK, it was Michigan State University. So maize and blue aren’t my favorite colors. ;-) My high school mascot was the Blackhawks and our colors orange and black.

We were the Indians, and even though there has been lots of talk over the years of changing to a more pc mascot it remains today. We were red and white, with some black thrown in there occasionally.
