Move over!

Do you remember the last time you honked your car horn? What were you trying to convey?

I was on the interstate and someone was coming into my lane…since I’ve made an effort to not text or talk while driving, it’s amazing how many people swerve all over the place and you get up next to them only to see that they’re TEXTING! So crazy.

We someone pulled right out in front of me. I was letting them know I thought they were stupid. They too were on their cell phone.

At a man who stopped his car at the end of an exit, where the interstate merges with the street because he was too timid to merge like you’re supposed to. I almost slammed into him coming off the interstate, and the tires on the car behind me screeched too. I was trying to convey, “MERGE!”

I try not to drive too much. I can’t stand the screaming and crying. People shouting “we’re all going to die.” That’s my passengers. I don’t honk. I give them the one finger salute and become passive aggrssive. I do 15 miles an hour and I try to cover all lanes. That is tough to do on the interstate.

I almost never use the horn, but I did last night at a car that was backing out of a parking space and aimed for for my car.

  6. I rarely honk my horn. However, our town has extreeeeeeemely long traffic lights because of current road construction. Sometimes the first one waiting at the light becomes distracted, disoriented, falls asleep, etc., and doesn’t realize the signal has turned green. On that occasion, I might give the horn a little tap to say “Hello, time to go! We’re all tired of waiting in this line.”

probably waiving at someone, no really waiving with all my fingers

  8. I don’t drive a lot but I cycle about 50 km a day.

I ‘rang my bell’ on the way to work this morning to politely warn pedestrians that I was about to pass them. If I just go past at speed it can give some people a nasty surprise.
