Music to your ears

More than likely, each of us has a favorite instrument, one whose sound we especially love. By the same token, we can probably name one instrument that we could easily do without. What instrument is not music to your ears?

    Oooh, Sunny beat me to it. Bagpipes are horrendous.

    How can you guys dislike bagpipes? I love the sound of the bagpipe! I can’t really think of an instrument I dislike–except maybe the kazoo!

    I LOVE bagpipes! Right on, Bev!!

    Do not care for Chinese music, so whatever that whiny stringed instrument is that they play – don’t like it.

    In an orchestra? My least fave is a violin. I’m an oboe kind of girl.

    Not an instrument really, but the sound of whistling really grates on my nerves. There’s only one song with whistling in it that I like enough to get past that (Winds of Change). I don’t dislike bagpipes like most of the rest of you all, but the sound is very closely associated for me with fire and police funerals.
