I received a notice in the mail that my Maytag dishwasher was one of the recalled ‘firestarters’. I am to turn it off, unplug it, and not use it until Maytag can come out to repair it. The earliest they can do this is next week Wednesday. In the meantime, if you were me, would you continue to use your dishwasher? Or would you shut it down and wash your dishes by hand?

My Amana is a firestarter too. It just did 2 loads. Heck no, I’m not hand washing!
I would. I hand wash dishes now anyway.

Dishwasher?
I’d use my backup dishwasher….Hubby.
Heck, I’d eat out.

I’d hand wash ‘em. I’m thinking about starting to do it anyway. Since I’m at home and cook all meals, it takes too long to have clean dishes from the dishwasher. Two hours to wash dishes in that thing… just a waste!
