Arthur Conan Doyle
My favorite genre – no one favorite, but ones that I try to follow – in no particular order: JAJance, Dana Stabenow, David Baldacci, Craig Johnson, Nevada Barr, John Sandford – way too many to call to mind quickly.
Which day? I love mysteries. My current favorite is Laurie R.King, who writes the Sherlock Holmes/Mary Russell stories. But I am currently reading a lot of Linda Fairstein and looking forward to the next Tess Gerritsen and Kathy Reichs…
Forgot Linda Fairstein. Notice the authors are mostly women? Hmmmmmmm
I haven’t read any of the Kathy Reichs books yet, but would like to. Do I need to start with the first one? Is it a series?
Yes, it’s a series, but each stands alone. Except for a few side stories, it doesn’t matter in what order you read them. Be aware, they are quite different from the “Bones” series, but just as interesting.
David Baldacci, Michael Connelly, Tess Gerritsen. I used to like Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson, but they’ve sold out to mass market and have lost their edge.
John sandford is good. read his prey series in order.
Stuart Woods is good easy read. His books are not always great. He is a formula writer now. Some are great. a few not so much.
I just read Stieg Larsson’s millennium series. Great characters. sadly…it’s over.
