I was recently quoted on FB, of all places: “Marshmallows have no redeeming social value.”
Lightly toasted, over a firepit (none of these new fangled electric marshmallow toasters. You need the taste of cinders). The inside needs to be gooey, though.
I recently had a restaurant dessert that included a toasted marshmallow. It was a homemade marshmallow and HUGE. It was by far the best part of the dessert
Lightly toasted over a fire. Gooey and brown, not burned with the view of the setting set. Like the last 3 I just ate.
Lightly browned on the outside, gooey on the inside. But I’m not the “sit around the campfire” kind of gal, so haven’t had one in a long time, and probably won’t again. I like them plain, though, – even Peeps.
