A book. I always took a book; I get bored just lying in the sun. Of course, I don’t know any mother who went to the beach without a day’s supply of *everything.*
The first thing that came to mind was sunglasses. I love being in the water at the beach, but am not a beach sitter. When I’m through in the water, I’m back to the house. Two of our girls spend the day, under umbrellas, with books and coolers of drinks on the beach.
A big bottle of water.
My camera, of course.
I big umbrella! (then a book and my camera!)
