I have ugly brown slippers lined with rabbit fur that I just love (so do all the puppies who live here, who are in the process of chewing off all the fur). I have worn them in public far enough to go to the end of the driveway and get the paper, or out to the curb to bring in the garbage can.
Yes, on a charity “wear something you wouldn’t normally wear to work” day. Pink suede things – don’t know how to describe them really.

mine are the least girly pair i could find at the shop– dark grey fuzzy slippers with grey beaded flower on the top (which i’ve thought about ripping off). i would have just got guys slippers but i’m kids sizes in guys sizes so that left me with cartoon character slippers or rocket ships and stuff.
Chocolate-brown ones – fluffy on the inside and suede-like on the outside. In public, only to the curb to get the papers on a Sunday (BK – before kids) or while in hospital.
My “slippers” are hot pink, waterproof platic Birkis. My husband has a pair of blue ones.
I got them so I could wear them outside to feed the donkey and the cats.
I have never worn them in public and unless the house was on fire or I had to rush to the emergency room, I never would.
They are dirty and incredibly ugly.
He wears his out all the time. :-p
yes, I do wear my slippers in public sometimes. Mainly outside in my own yard, but I have walked around the neighborhood with them on too. I have black Isotoner slippers…very comfy.

I just recently broke my little toe…and I mean I BROKE it…it was 3x its normal size, and could not wear any sort of firm close-toed shoe and even sandals were out because the strap hit a very sensitive spot…thankfully I have a pair of fleece hard-bottomed slippers…they were a lifesaver. I had to wear them for nearly 3 weeks, everywhere.
I love slippers. I have the fleece pair and also a pair of Sorel wool ones. Both have hard bottoms, so they can be worn outside. I take them camping as well, they are great to slip on for running to the privy in the middle of the night.
Aside from wearing them out of necessity, I have accidentally worn them to work…especially if i slip them on to run garbage out or something while getting ready for work…a few times I’ve just forgotten that its slippers that I’m wearing, and off it go. hee
Yes, I believe I did. When I was a kid we used to have pajama day at school, so I’d wear slippers then. I remember wearing brown bunny slippers. Close enough!
My “slippers” are Croc thongs (with or without socks) so yep, I definitely wear them in public. Before (i stopped being able to wear regular slippers) I wore mainly Isotoners and would wear them outside (say, to put the trash out or get the mail/door/paper) but not to drive or go anywhere.

I’ve got some sweet L.L. Bean moccasin slippers that I wear all the time. I’ve definitely worn them in public!
