    Not much – turning into a busy week, though. Lots of rain and fog. Reading Grisham’s “The Summons”; next “The Litigators”. Getting into serious women’s basketball season.

    Raining, raining, raining — need sun.
    Reading “Steve Jobs” — a facinating, irritating man.
    Saw “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” — really good, very true to the book, very dark. Perhaps not the best choices during the rainy season.

    First day on volunteer job in a book store today.
    * Lunch with my mother tomorrow
    * Lunch with a friend on Thursday
    * Friend’s memorial service Saturday (not the friend I’m having lunch with on Thursday, of course)
    * Review show Sunday.

    Reading “Missing Girl,” one of Tess Gerritsen’s early books

    Watched Episode I of Season 2 of Downton Abbey this morning and absolutely LOVED it!

    What’s going on? I can’t even rant because, as usual, someone else is even more upset than I. For starters, my seven-month-old computer is in imminent failure. With all my year’s expenditures on the hard drive, as I was preparing for taxes…

    When I read a good book, you know about it because I post. I have started and discarded at least three books recently, and I’m annoyed that I wasted my time. I don’t go to movies, and I’ve watched more reruns than new tv shows.

    This was not a good week for me to answer this question.

    Nothing much happening other than the usual boring January stuff. I read Daughter of Smoke and Bone and loved it. I’m reading Catch 22 now. It’s definitely been a streaming and DVD watching marathon with all the home sick time lately. This past week I watched “Friends with Benefits” (Predictable, but I loved it anyway), “Warrior” (surprisingly enjoyable), “Devils Own” (such a waste of a good cast), “Mao’s Last Dancer” (worth it if you’re bored and have Netflix), the latest “Star Trek” (have seen it multiple times and still like it), “Wings of the Dove” (yawn) and “Grumpy Old Men” (still funny). I also started watching the series “Being Human” (jury’s still out).
