Like yesterday morning when one of the nursery nurses who works FOR ME told me I couldn’t use the room where she works overnight to charge up a laptop trolley because SHE didn’t want it in there in the morning when she came in – fume!

“Soothing” just doesn’t seem to enter my vocabulary.
Relaxing may be okay but “soothing” is something you do to a colicky baby.

I need soothing after wrestling with my kids all day in church. A nice relaxing travel guide usually tends to calm me right down though.

I need soothing after a bad day, or a long day. What soothes me is having the ENTIRE house ALL to myself. Sometimes it works to pretend that I’ve got the house to myself after everyone else has gone to bed. I can sit on the sofa and just relax and enjoy the quiet, and no one wants to know where their shoes are, or if I could get them a glass of water, or why my hair looks the way it does, or a zillion other things that my husband and daughter request of me when I’m trying to relax.

Soothing is necessary after a hectic/crazy day at school. When there’s a full moon or a change in the weather–it affects teenagers more than anyone wants to admit.

I need soothing everyday! And anything might soothe me: A Good Laugh, a cup of Tea, A Hug or a walk might do it. Tai chi is also soothing and finally a ride on my Choppper ona Sunny day!
