My husband taped everything as soon as he got a VCR; he seldom watched anything he taped. It’s kind of soured my opinion of the whole recording mindset, and I don’t have a DVR, though I will occasionally watch something that someone saved for me.
I’m retired and I have all the time in the world. If I miss a show, I’ll catch it on the rerun. I’ll watch the sporting event if it’s one I like; if it’s really bad, I’ll watch something else.
I’m not much for watching sporting events on TV, even when I care about the outcome. So I probably wouldn’t be watching in the first place. John asks me to record the games he sees in person, and occasionally he does go back and watch a particular segment.
Depends how good or bad the outcome was. If there was a close score and my team won, I’d probably watch it anyway. If my team lost, I’d probably not watch. I’m not much of a team sports fan to start with anyway. But ya’ll knew that.
Still, that wasn’t very nice of whoever to spoil the outcome for you.
I’ve never recorded a sporting event in my life. If I can’t see it live, I already know the score, so what’s the point?
LOL! Time zone change between Australia and USA …. so 2 a.m. is when I needed to be up to watch it in real time.
I try very hard to avoid spoilers (sports, as well as shows on TV) and if I already knew the outcome of a game, I probably would not watch it…but I might watch the last 5 minutes of it just to see the excitement of the win. Definitely not if my team had lost.
