I’m also around an 8 or so – here are my stats:

CURLEY is the #2518 most common last name
0.005% of last names in the US are CURLEY.
Around 12500 people have CURLEY as a last name!

It’s even less common in my country of birth which is South Africa – there are probably about 25 of us here!

It's a pretty uncommon last name (#23821- thanks Jon!), but only in it's spelling. The pronunciation is of a much more common last name, and only varies from the spelling by a letter. .-= va bene´s last blog ..1 out of 4 ain't bad =-.

I think it's a pretty common name (especially in New England/the northeast) but people misspell and mispronounce it all the time. I'm used to it but it's still annoying sometimes. .-= Stephie´s last blog ..Sonny and Sydney =-.

My surname (husband’s surname) is Wilson. It’s usually in the top 10 most common surnames in the U.S., so I’d say that’s a clear “1″. My maiden name is of Japanese origin, so not common in the U.S., but the 20th most common surname in Japan.
